The compositions included on 'Portraits of Thoughts' are inspired by extensive travel across the USA and Europe in 2011. A distinctive aspect of this recording is the Stuart & Sons piano kindly offered by Wayne Stuart (OAM). This piano (Stuart and Sons) is an integral part of this recording, as it allowed a unique set of parameters to be accessed. As a result, the music presented is sympathetic to the acoustic qualities of the remarkable piano design envisioned by Wayne Stuart.
